Red lingerie

Red lingerie is widely desired on a romantic level. Black and white styles are generally more popular purchases. However, those colors are also more generally worn without the intention of ever sharing them. Red, on the other hand, is a color often intended to share.

The significance behind red lingerie exists on multiple levels. On one hand, the color is associated with love and romance. This is particularly emphasized on Valentine's Day. For that reason, this color of undergarment is widely available around that time.

On the other hand, red lingerie is also associated with sin and guilt. At one point, the color was associated with prostitutes. This adds a little flair to the color choice in the bedroom. Many studies have shown this color to cause the most reaction from humans, which is why it is often chosen for warning labels and signs.
